Public Practice Workshop 2021
The Public Practice Workshop has been designed to help set your business up for success and is offered as either a two-day face-to-face workshop or a five-part virtual classroom series. This practical and outcome-oriented workshop will take you through the My Firm. My Future (MFMF) framework and help you develop a Future Focus Plan. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from experienced facilitators and develop a network of contacts as you embark on the next step in your career journey.
You can claim up to 16 CPD hours if you attend the entire face-to-face workshop, or 13.5 CPD hours for the virtual classroom series.
Face-to-face workshops are conducted across Australia only, however the virtual classroom series is available for all eligible members to enrol at various times throughout the year.
You should only register to attend a workshop if you’re a CPA or FCPA.
The Public Practice Workshop offers interactive, facilitator-led learning to provide an optimal learning experience. It’s designed to assist you in attaining the skills, knowledge and professional approach required for a successful career in public practice.
The program delivers four main objectives:
- introduce you to MFMF
- understand and articulate the fundamentals of the four “Enablers” of MFMF
- apply strategies to address the strategic “Drivers” of MFMF
- develop a Future Focus Plan that supports the development of a successful business.
While this workshop requires considerable input from you as a participant, we recognise that you’ve already undertaken a major study program and many examinations to attain your professional qualifications. Therefore, the workshop is structured so you can obtain the knowledge that’s most important for you.
The workshop is organised into set areas of discussion, with a key element of the program being exposure to members already in practice. Presenters will encourage discussion during their sessions, so you can have the opportunity to learn from their experience.
Registrations close 10 working days prior to each workshop and you must be a CPA or FCPA to enrol.
Upon registering, you’ll be sent a confirmation email and event overview. Make sure you check this information and let us know if there are any issues, or if you haven’t received confirmation. Please note, all refunds or date transfers must be processed at least 10 days prior to a booked workshop. If have any questions, call us on 1300 737 373.
To successfully complete the Public Practice Program you must attend both days of the workshop or a minimum of four virtual classroom sessions and view the recording of any missed virtual sessions. If you don’t attend, you’ll be required to attend a future Public Practice Workshop. Please note, the workshop is for registered attendees only, and family members or guests are unable to join.
The two-day face-to-face workshop runs from 8.30am to 5.00pm over consecutive days. Workshops are limited to 20 members and will fill quickly. Additional sessions will be scheduled as required. If a spot isn’t currently available in your preferred location, please contact Member Services for more information.
